Tim Wasiewski assists public and private clients with complex water and environmental law issues, including water right priority, water quality control, stream adjudications, the public trust doctrine, CEQA, the Endangered Species Act, and water transfers.

Tim represents clients before the State Water Resources Control Board, and in state and federal trial and appellate courts. He has successfully advocated for public agencies challenging regulatory action by the State Water Board, was counsel for a coalition of agricultural and municipal water suppliers in the administrative proceedings for the California Waterfix project, and represented water users during recent droughts in the litigation challenging the State Water Board's curtailment of water rights.
Prior to joining Paris Kincaid Wasiewski, LLP, Tim worked at a prominent personal injury firm in New York City where he contributed to both the litigation and appellate departments. He also worked at the New York State Appellate Division, Second Department, in Brooklyn, New York, where he drafted hundreds of appellate decisions for one of the busiest appellate courts in the nation.

Tim graduated from the University of Delaware, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance.
He earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University, College of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude.

Tim is admitted to practice in the states of California and New York, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

Obtained a multi-million dollar settlement for a public power authority in a construction defect case.
Successfully represented a joint powers authority at the trial and appellate levels challenging the California State Water Resources Control Board’s curtailment of pre-1914 water rights, and obtained an award of attorneys’ fees against the Board. Representing a joint powers authority in a challenge to the State Water Resources Control Board’s adoption of revisions to the Water Quality Control Plan for the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Estuary.
Represented irrigation districts as intervening parties in a challenge to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife and National Marine Fisheries Services’ adoption of biological opinions under the Endangered Species Act.
Represented public agencies in CEQA challenges at the trial and appellate levels.
Successfully defended a public irrigation district in a challenge by a private landowner demanding out-of-district water supply.
Represented a joint powers authority as an interested party in the State Water Resources Control Board’s water rights hearing on the California Waterfix project.
Represented irrigation districts as an intervening party in a challenge to the State Water Resources Control Board’s interpretation of the public trust doctrine.
Defended private landowner in challenge to water rights confirmed by the Shasta River Decree
Represented growers and farmers in action against a water district for distribution of payments owed for rice crop damage due to cold water releases pursuant to the Agreements on Diversion of Water from the Feather River and Settlement of Issues Related to the Temperature of Water Diversions.
Represented irrigation district as an intervening party in an action against the State Water Resources Control Board challenging the issuance of orders granting Temporary Urgency Change Petitions.
